What is Aadhaar Card/Number?
Govt of India has introduced a unique identity number, which is called Aadhaar. It is a 12 digit individual identification number. How to Enroll for Aadhaar?
Aadhaar Enrollment is Free and Simple. Individuals need to visit the Athorized Enrollment Centers any where in India, which are established by UIDAI on behalf of Govt of India. Aadhaar Enrollment Center accept 18 types of Proof of Identity and 13 types of Proof of Address.
In case you do not have above common proofs, Certificate of Identify having photo issued by Gazetted Officer/Tehsildar on letterhead is also accepted as PoI. Certificate of Address having photo issued by MP or MLA /Gazetted Officer/Tehsildar on letterhead or by Village Panchayat head or its equivalent authority (for rural areas) is accepted as valid PoA.
Aadhar Card Enrollment Process

2.The Officials at the Enrollment Centers verify your details and ID Proofs. If they are okay, then the Operator at the center will take your Finger Prints, Scan your Iris and take your Photograph.
3.Then you will be provided with an Acknowledgement Slip, this slip contains a 14 Digit Enrollment Number
4.Your Data will then be processed. Then the unique Aadhar Number will be generated and mailed to your address with in 60-90 days of time.
